Robot Kits
OWI introduces the fourth generation of WAO programmable robot kits and WOW is it spectacular! WAO Kranius is a two-wheeled robot that you can program without a personal computer. The intellectual brain consists of an 8 bit micro-controller and keyboard with 33 tactile buttons. This bundle of brains can store up to 60 programming steps and 30 FOR-NEXT multiplex loops. In addition to its futuristic and powerful design, it features 6 vision sensors to see in front and below the robot. The eyes that enable it to see in front of itself has two infrared LEDs and an infrared detector IC. 4 floor light sensors (CdS sensor) will enable it to distinguish the contrast of light underneath its shell.
Teaches the basic robotic sensing and locomotion principles, testing your motor skills, as you build and control the Arm. Five motors and five joints allow flexibility and fun!
Wonderball is an RF controlled wonder. It spins on a dime and moves at blazing speeds.
The Tribotz is three robots in one!The Tribot Robot kit teaches the fundamentals of sensor technology and shows you how it all fits together. Using only basic hand tools (cutting pliers, long nose pliers, and small phillips screwdriver) you can assemble this robot kit for a fun learning experience.
Cool just got even cooler with the invention of SPIDER III, the third generation in our quest to offer the most advanced design and technology available. With its radical walking style, this intelligent robot avoids interference. Requires Soldering
The SPIDER III is the latest and best version of an incredibly sophisticated robot which offers the most advanced design and technology available. Walking along like some fantastic creature from a childrens book, the SPIDER III intelligently avoids and evades all interference, emitting a light sensor beam that detects obstacles and signals the robot to change direction at once and continue on a new path. Like a bat, the SPIDER III sends out an invisible wave which reflects off of surfaces and sends a warning: ?Theres something in the way.? It can even take a perfectly safe stroll in the dark. Another great thing about the SPIDER III is that it costs much less than older versions, while offering new and better features! You cant beat a deal like that. Order yours today, and enter the amazing world of robotics.
Now you can build a robot that walks around objects! The Antoid MR-1002 walks forward with its six insect like legs detecting objects in its path as it moves. The Antoid can detect objects with its infrared eye. Once an object is detected, the Antoid robot will move to avoid it.
The highly-acclaimed, award-winning Soccer Robot by OWI has been totally redesigned to create even more excitement and good old human-robot interaction. A THIRD motor has been added to this (already) awesome robot, which is used to catch and shoot an included ball. Score goal after goal after beautiful goal, right in the comfort of your own living room. The easy-to-follow, step-by-patient-step instructions will help you build it from the ground up, will allow you to get an intricate look at its six operational legs, its retrieving and kicking mechanism, and its wired controller, which activates movement and ball control.
If you thought the award winning Soccer Robot by OWI was awesome, the new speedy design of Soccer Pro is destined for action packed, unparalleled excitement. A third motor and hypersonic wheels have been added for your playing pleasure. Soccer Pros additional motor is used to catch and shoot a ball (included). Its incredible fast track wheel system powers this unit to make unbelievable sonic maneuvers and can thrust you down the sideline for explosive break-a-ways. This unit will be a mechanical soccer players dream for those who thrive on speed and coordination.
This is not just another cool robotic toy from OWI. AIR ZINGER Robot kit will blow you away! Building on air technology, OWI has created a robot kit that can inhale or blast out a ball (included) through its cannon like loader. Zigging and zagging is no problem with its wired controller. You can easily move forward, backward, left and right. What is amazing, is the whirl wind effect you create when you activate Air Zingers wind magnum propeller. When the propeller is activated to retrieve the ball, it is like watching a like Largemouth bass inhale its lunch. On command, its special compartment stores the ball and launches it. Its all about full-throttle competition; who can beat whom? You can create your own games, tournaments, and rules. No soldering required.
Not one, but two! Light AND sound! MOON WALKER II has combined the technology of two sensors. A whimsical indication of future trends, MOON WALKER II begins to walk when it detects a change in light intensity or sound commands. MOON WALKER II continues its four-legged voyage until instructed by an internal timer to stop. This kit presents an engaging opportunity to learn about some of the mechanics, operation and history of robots. When assembled, this robot uses a phototransistor to sense changes in light (such as turning on a lamp) and a condenser microphone to sense changes in sound (such as clapping). It converts those stimuli into electronic signals to power a motor, and MOON WALKER II will walk forward for a time. When it stops, affecting other change in light or sound may activate it again. The sensors can be adjusted for different sensitivity levels. Requires Soldering
Using only basic hand tools assemble this robot kit for a fun learning experience. The HYDRAZOID will react to sound impulses such as clapping of hands and move forward for 15 seconds and then stop to await another sound command.
The line-tracking mouse is an excellent, low-cost robot for someone who has previous soldering experience and would like to get started with robots. This kit features two independent gearboxes, two printed circuit boards, a plywood base, and a clear, mouse-shaped body.
OWI introduces to their award winning Beginner Series of educational electronic robot and science kits...RocKit Robot! The new futuristic style includes high performance and superior materials. Rockit Robot evolves as a spunky little robot that you can build. Explore the fundamentals of robotics with this informative and entertaining robot kit. Appropriate for ages 10 and up, RocKit Robot is an intelligent robot with a touch/sound sensor.
The hexapod monster is a six-legged robot that walks forward until it detects an obstacle, in which case it backs up and turns before resuming its forward motion. There is a separate gearbox for each side of the robot, allowing for differential control of the robots motion. Obstacle detection is performed through an infrared sensor at the front of the robot.
